The Thirsty Goat Lounge offers high-end adult beverages in a setting that’s funky and laid-back. The perfect place for relaxing after a full day, this place is a favorite with both locals and visitors to the area.
The types of drinks available here are fairly typical of a bar or pub, but it’s the quality of these libations that sets the Thirsty Goat Lounge apart from other watering holes in town. Local draft beers are on tap, and a quality selection of wines is on hand. For those who’d like something with liquor involved, a variety of premium liquors can be taken as shots or used to create one of the bar’s many unique cocktails.
The highlight of the decor is Sir William, who hangs out behind the carved wood bar. The Thirsty Goat himself, Sir William exudes class with his carefully manicured beard, stylish sunglasses and sophisticated hat. He can’t take selfies since he’s mounted to the wall, but all patrons are invited to take a photo with the establishment’s celebrity.
During the busier times of day, the inside bar area can become cramped as it’s an intimate and relatively small space. There’s an expansive outdoor porch with plenty of seating, though, and heaters are out there during the cooler months of the year. Parties who’d prefer to be active rather than sit can play a game of ring toss out there, and occasionally Sir William invites a local musician to serenade his guests.
There aren’t any food options on the menu, so you’ll want to eat before or after stopping by the Thirsty Goat Lounge. For a relaxing place to hang with friends or family, however, this place is perfect.
A few of our menu favorites at the Thirsty Goat Lounge include:
Local Draft Beer
When in Port Saint John, drink like the locals here do. Choose a local brew, and enjoy it from the tap.
Light White Wine
Sometimes there’s nothing more refreshing than a chilled, light white wine on a hot Florida afternoon. Select your favorite, and cool off sip by sip.
The house cocktail list is extensive, ensuring there’s something for every preference. Perfectly made, one of these will surely delight your tastebuds.
While there are a lot of spirits and liquors behind the bar, there’s an especially large number of bourbons. Try one or two of the less common options if you like the hard stuff.
Don’t know what to order? Let the bartender know what flavors you like, and they’ll create something special for you.
– The outdoor porch affords beautiful views of St. Joseph Bay. Time your visit for dusk, and enjoy a beverage as you watch the sun go down.
– Street parking immediately in front of the bar can be scarce. If you can’t find a place, there’s ample hotel parking you can use on the other side of the block. Park there, and weave your way to the bar through the hotel’s corridors.
