Sisters’ Restaurant is perched on a sunny corner in Cape San Blas, a small peninsula in the Florida panhandle. With a friendly, beachy atmosphere thanks to great service and brightly painted decor, Sisters’ has been a warm, welcoming, and unpretentious place to get a full plate of homemade comfort food for over 20 years.

If you’re looking for a solid start to your day, Sisters’ offers a range of breakfast items, all freshly cooked to order. The choices are all standard diner fare, but the prices are reasonable for the portions and it was evident that plenty of lucky locals were starting yet another day in paradise with a helping of Sister’s perfectly crisp bacon and steaming scrambled eggs atop cute, colorful plates.

Lunch at Sister’s offers a few more options. Their standard menu comes with a number of nicely sized sandwiches, including a range of “Croissant Clubs” that pair delicious sandwich fillings with buttery, flaky croissants. In addition, they almost always offer a couple of Daily Specials, which give you that down-home grandma-in-the-kitchen feel that you just can’t get with a big chain.

On our recent visit for lunch, we tried a couple of different items. We enjoyed trying several different plates in the bright, welcoming atmosphere of Sister’s.

Our favorites include:

Croissant Club with chicken salad.
Melty, cheesy, and chock full of truly excellent chicken salad, this was the near-perfect sandwich. All of Sister’s clubs come with bacon, cheese, plus lettuce, tomato, and mayo, and your choice of side. We opted for the pasta salad, which was fresh, cold, and nicely dressed.

Port Special.
A simple, well-made sandwich featuring bacon, turkey, and Swiss on a toasted roll. Hit the spot without leaving us overstuffed!

Pork Chop.
One of the daily specials on offer, this was a major meal featuring mashed potatoes and green beans, plus chocolate cake for dessert. A delicious plate full of comforting treats, but definitely a heavy meal to eat midday. Plan to tuck in, then enjoy a nap for dessert!

Sister’s is a stellar place to bring the whole family, or simply drop in for a quick solo meal. It’s beloved by locals and visitors alike thanks to the tasty, crowd-pleasing food they’ve been serving up for two decades. With plenty of options, including fresh salads, as well as kid-friendly hot dogs and burgers, it’s a great alternative to greasy fast food that will still fill everyone’s belly without breaking your budget.

Insider Tip:
Sisters’ Restaurant often posts their Daily Specials on their social media, or you can always call ahead to check what’s cooking. The specials menu is a major favorite with locals, especially for the generous portions of southern favorites, like BBQ Ribs or Hamburger Steak and with vegetable sides.
