The Brick Wall Sports Bar and Grill is the place to go when you want to enjoy tantalizing bar food while having a great time listening to live music. Although Hurricane Michael put this popular Port St. Joe, Florida, restaurant temporarily out of commission, they are back and better than ever. They are open every day except Wednesday, but the weekends really bring in the crowds.
No matter when you arrive, the first thing you’re sure to notice is their laidback, friendly atmosphere. Even if it’s your first time in, the staff will greet you like a longtime friend or family member, helping you feel right at home.
You can sidle up to the bar, grab a private booth, or snag a table right in the center of all the action. From every vantage point, you can catch a glimpse of one of their six flatscreen TVs, which play all the local games and so much more.
If you arrive during the evening, you get to hear music from local artists while dining on your selected appetizer, entrée, or dessert. You can even come in just for drinks and catch the performance from your seat of choice.
Fan favorites on their menu include:
Dozen Oysters Rockefeller
If you want to enjoy the most decadent flavors of the Gulf, you’ll have to try their Dozen Oysters Rockefeller. They take 12 freshly shucked oysters and then top them with bacon, parmesan cheese, and spinach Florentine. After piling on the delicious toppings, they stick the whole lot under the broiler until they’re bubbling and golden brown.
Kickin’ Shrimp
With its wild blend of fresh and zesty flavors, the Kickin’ Shrimp will have you always coming back for more. This dish begins with fresh Gulf shrimp that are grilled to perfection and tossed in a rich sriracha aioli. Just before serving, they sprinkle on chopped green onions that complement the spice just right.
Mahi Tacos
Until you’ve tried the Mahi Tacos, you simply don’t know just how good fish tacos can be. When you order, you can have your Mahi Mahi fried, grilled, or blackened. Once that’s done, they toss your generous portion of fish in two tortillas and then top them with tasty coleslaw.
The Nole Burger
Made using the ideal blend of ground chuck and brisket, The Nole Burger will have you talking about it for days. This burger comes topped with pepper jack cheese, onion rings, and fried jalapenos galore. Over that, they add chipotle BBQ sauce that perfectly complements the quality beef, spicy cheese, and fried veggies.
If you want to work off your meal once you finish up your visit, you can take a nice walk along the waterfront by heading down Fifth Street to Frank Pate Park. From there, you can view the beautiful Saint Joseph Bay in all its glory and even catch the sunset if you arrive at just the right time.
