Some say Ticheli’s makes the best pizza in the world–outside of Italy, at least. And it makes sense; they import the flour for their crusts from Italy and make their sauce in-house daily. Although wait times can be a bit long, Ticheli’s serves up piping hot Italian-style pizza with a smile. A take-out-only counter-serve pizza shop, Ticheli’s accepts call-in or walk-up orders, then sends you a text when your order is ready. If you’re walking up to place an order, there are plenty of shops to check out and benches or picnic tables to enjoy while waiting for your pizza.
The Ticheli family came to the U.S. from Italy in the early 1900s, bringing their favorite family recipes over. They opened their first pizzeria in Louisiana, then opened their shop in Seacrest Beach, Florida in 2015. Since then, they’ve become a favorite among locals and tourists alike, enchanting pizza (and wing!) lovers with their authentic pizzas and fresh toppings, and offering a convenient place to grab a wood oven pizza right on the Gulf.
Some menu favorites include…
4-Cheese Spinach and Artichoke
Ticheli’s offers all the standard pizza toppings you’d expect (and then some). But one of our all-time favorites is the 4-cheese spinach and artichoke pizza, which combines garlic-cream cheese, parmesan, mozzarella, and feta cheese, which is then topped with crushed red pepper flakes, fresh spinach, and artichoke hearts.
Classic Pepperoni
It’s hard to go wrong with a truly excellent pepperoni pizza. This simple pizza features their house-made tomato sauce, fresh pepperoni, and parmesan and mozzarella cheese, and it’s a best-seller for good reason.
Ticheli’s Muffaletta Salad
Inspired by the flavors of New Orleans which so heavily impacted the Ticheli during their early years in the U.S., their muffaletta salad includes fresh greens, Italian olive mix, salami, fresh tomatoes, black olives, capers, red onions, bell peppers, and pepperoncini, all topped with your choice of dressing.
Cajun BBQ Chicken Wings
Every self-respecting pizza joint carries their own take on the classic chicken wings, and Ticheli’s doesn’t disappoint. Their Cajun-style wings are seasoned with a secret-of-the-house cajun seasoning rub, cooked with cajun BBQ sauce, and served hot and fresh with carrots, celery, and ranch dressing on the side.
Ticheli’s is located in Peddler’s Pavilion, a classy shopping center just off Seacrest Beach in Rosemary Beach, Florida. They’re just a block away from the Gulf, and they’re within easy distance of other restaurants and Rosemary Beach attractions.
