A lively taproom in Seacrest Beach featuring 30 taps divided between ice-cold beer, wine, and nonalcoholic options and specializing in a range of local craft brews. While light snacks are available, kicking back with a cold beverage is the main draw here. A bright, open indoor space, as well as umbrella-shaded outdoor seating, is available, and regular live music adds to the relaxed, beachside vibe. Kids and dogs are welcome at Beach and Brew; they even serve famed Frios gourmet popsicles for a kid-friendly treat.

The first of its kind in South Walton, The Shultz family opened Beach & Brew’s doors in summer 2019 when they realized they didn’t have a go-to spot when visiting friends and family came to town and wanted to grab a beer. So, they set out to open a welcoming taproom that would highlight and celebrate the diversity of both the seaside towns that dot 30A, and the tasty variety of beers brewed in the region and beyond. From a smooth, easy-drinking Blonde from Santa Rosa Beach’s own Grayton Brewing, to chocolatey, cold brew-inspired pours from the west coast, Beach & Brew on 30A has surely done what it set out to.

The Tap List focuses on Florida and other regional breweries and includes regular rotators. Beach & Brew’s 30 taps feature an air-cooled line, which makes for extra-crisp, cold drinks. The taproom offers pints, half-pints, and growlers to go, along with a couple of rotating wines and draft root beer if not everyone in your party is exactly a beer hound. But if good beer is what you came from, we definitely recommend grabbing a flight–a sampling of smaller pours of your choice–to see what becomes your new favorite. While the menu is subject to change, on a recent visit we found a range of well-balanced, thoughtfully selected brews: sturdy, seasonal picks that paired perfectly with a Seacrest beach day alongside more complex offerings.

Beach & Brew on 30A is popular with visitors and locals alike. For those lucky enough to be regulars, the taproom sells its own beer tumblers, which can be refilled at a discounted rate when you bring them back for a fill. Hosting regular live music and charity events, Beach & Brew treats guests to an easygoing, neighborly atmosphere that plays off an industrial, brewery-style interior, leaving an impression you just may have found your new favorite spot to pull up a barstool. Cheers!
