Ready to change up your culinary experience in Pensacola Beach? You’ll love the unique vibes at The Melting Pot. One of a handful of Melting Pot locations in the state of Florida, this establishment delivers the mouthwatering fondue for which the chain is known, along with a heavy dose of Emerald Coast hospitality.
If you’re new to The Melting Pot, your first visit to the Pensacola Beach location might seem overwhelming. Thankfully, friendly staff members are on hand to guide you every step of the way.
Your experience depends, in large part, on whether you stick with a single serving of fondue or go the four-course route. Most visitors go all out and splurge on four courses, including salad, cheese fondue, an entree, and a dessert fondue. If you hope to enjoy all four courses, you’d best come with an empty stomach; the entree alone can be incredibly filling.
At The Melting Pot, you take control, with various skewers and slotted spoons provided to ensure you cook your meal correctly. How you prepare your entree, however, will depend on the cooking style you and your loved ones select. Tabletop grilling with a cast iron grill is available, as is a Caribbean-style approach complete with citrus, cilantro, and garlic. The popular Coq au Vin style infuses your meal with the enticing flavors of burgundy wine, garlic, scallions, and mushrooms.
In addition to its standard four-course dinner menu, the Pensacola Beach location also offers a satisfying brunch, complete with three courses and a wide array of drinks — including an understandably popular bottomless mimosa.
No matter when you visit, you’ll want to set aside plenty of time to enjoy your meal. It’s not unheard of for Melting Pot visits to last well over two hours. Don’t stop by if you’re in a hurry; impatience will ruin what is supposed to be a delightfully leisurely experience.
A few of our favorite menu items include the following:
Bacon & Bleu Spinach Salad
Whether included with your four-course meal or ordered on its own, this gluten-free salad will remind you just how fun it can be to eat your veggies. It includes the perfect blend of spinach and tomatoes, as well as bacon, egg, gorgonzola cheese, and a delectable buttermilk bleu cheese dressing.
New Orleans Cheddar Fondue
Included with the ‘Best of Pensacola’ four-course meal, this mouthwatering fondue blends three of your favorite cheeses: aged cheddar, lager beer, and Emmental. Best of all, it includes flavorful Andouille sausage and a blackened seasoning. The fondue’s gluten-free version is made with Redbridge beer.
Good Earth Vegetarian
As a restaurant specializing in cheese fondue, The Melting Pot is not typically a top choice for vegans. Vegetarians, however, should find plenty to eat — including this satisfying entree that even self-avowed carnivores will be tempted to order. The dish’s edamame or onion rings are complemented by ginger tofu teriyaki, artichoke hearts, asparagus, and wild mushroom sacchetti. If you’re not feeling particularly hungry, you’re welcome to order this entree without the fondue or salad.
French Toast White Chocolate
Included with The Melting Pot’s three-course brunch menu, this fondue combines the greatest pleasures of breakfast and dessert. Served with fresh fruit and other sweet treats for dipping, this tasty treat includes white chocolate, caramelized sugar, maple syrup, and cinnamon.
With so many cooking styles, fondues, and entrees available, you could visit The Melting Pot a dozen times and enjoy a dozen completely unique dining experiences. Relax and take it all in — this is your time to celebrate with those you love most.
Insider Tips:
-The previously mentioned Best of Pensacola four-course menu brings unique twists to the region’s best ingredients and flavors. Perhaps the most appreciated and least expected of these? The complimentary charcuterie board that you’ll receive alongside your cheese fondue.
-Reservations are absolutely worth making if you visit during the peak dinner rush, but keep in mind that you may not be seated immediately — even if you’ve reserved your spot well in advance. Some visitors have reported waiting up to half an hour to be seated, despite making reservations. Plan accordingly if you’re looking to make plans after dinner.
-Take advantage of the fondue timer available on The Melting Pot’s website which helps you time your meal prep appropriately based on your selected cooking style and type of meat.
