Best Places to Go Mini Golfing in Pensacola

Pensacola may be best known for its beautiful beaches and lively Spring Break antics, but this coastal Florida community has more to offer than bikini and beer hangouts. Pensacola is, in fact, a fantastic family-friendly destination with a whole host of activities that family members of every age will enjoy. Mini-golfing is a great example of this and something this town has in spades (and a great variety of spades we might add).

Just take a look at the following fascinating mini-golfing places you’ll find here:

1. UFO’s Mini-Golf, Ice Cream, and Arcade

2 Via De Luna Dr, Pensacola Beach, FL 32561

Pensacola, FL is home to an important air force base, which is where the world-class Blue Angels are based. Yet, while it’s generally fighter planes frequently zipping over the skies, there are always some who wonder if maybe there’s something else out above these shorelines… Thus, making Pensacola the natural place to build a UFO-oriented mini-golf location.

You will find UFO’s Mini-Golf, Ice Cream & Arcade right in the heart of Pensacola Beach, just a block down from the Pensacola Beach Pier. The team behind this family-friendly attraction likes to joke that they’ve built the favored vacation spot for visiting aliens. But whether you’re from Earth or from Mars, there is plenty to enjoy here. The entirety of the mini-golf course is alien-themed and inspired. This means that each hole features a fun variety of props, hazards, and obstacles that are all based on the idea of aliens visiting the beach. They have also incorporated a lot of beautiful landscaping with rock formations and creative water features.

In addition to their mini-golf course, the UFO’s Mini-Golf, Ice Cream & Arcade also has a premier arcade center and a lovely on-site dining establishment. They serve general concession-stand food here, like hot dogs and nachos, as well as a sizable ice cream and sushi menu.

2. Goofy Golf of Pensacola

Goofy Golf of Pensacola is perhaps the most affordable place to spend a day out with a big family — at least if you’re going somewhere other than a public park or beach for free. This beloved Pensacola mini-golf location offers a 36-hole rate of just $8 per adult and $5 for children and teenagers. That’s about the cheapest you’re going to find just about anywhere!

Yet, while the price to go to Goofy Golf of Pensacola is cheap, the feeling of this space is not. Goofy Golf of Pensacola is a historic golf course that has been well-maintained and has evolved over the years so as to maintain a gorgeous appearance and engaging play. Today, this mini-golf course is managed by the non-profit group known as First Tee, which serves local youth and works to organize golfing events, including miniature-golf tournaments. The one drawback of being managed by such an organization is that Goofy Golf of Pensacola does have limited hours. You’ll need to come here on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday as they are closed the rest of the week.

You will find Goofy Golf of Pensacola located on West Navy Boulevard, in between an antiques and gallery shop and a marine sales business. They do not have their own on-site restaurant, but the popular casual counter-serve restaurant of Wing Zone is located just one block down and makes for easy big gathering meals.

3. Fast Eddies Fun Center

Fast Eddies Fun Center bills itself as the number one family fun park in the city since its opening in 1989 — and they work hard to continually update its facilities so as to ensure every kid, teen, and adult who comes through enjoys an outstanding time. Fast Eddies Fun Center is locally owned and operated with a myriad of attractions that span its three acres, including a wonderful mini-golf course.

The mini golf course at Fast Eddies Fun Center features nine holes of putt-putt with plenty of obstacles, twists, and turns to keep players engaged and challenged with a coastal Florida theme. The miniature golf course, as well as the other attractions here, are open for play every day of the week. Although, being outside, the mini golf course may be closed some afternoons due to rain.

Of course, rain isn’t all bad when you have as many fascinating things to do onsite as at Fast Eddies Fun Center! In addition to its 9-hole miniature golf course, this location also features a full go-kart track, an indoor arcade with both vintage favorites and the latest machines, and fully outfitted batting cages. You can purchase tickets for each of these activities separately, or go for the value packages which offer a mix of tickets for all of the attractions at a reduced rate, especially if you are buying for more than one or two. Big parties enjoy even bigger discounts! Plus, you can rent out their air-conditioned glass party rooms that overlook the go-cart track.

After or in between all of the fun, check out their Eddies Snack Bar which features a host of delicious concession-style foods, including pizza, cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, ice cream, and much more.

Other honorable mentions for top mini-golfing in just a bit outside of Pensacola include the Pirates Island Adventure Golf and Shrimpy’s Mini Golf. Both of these are located just a short drive west over the Florida-Alabama border in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Both of these locations offer incredibly memorable putting greens that go big in themes and offer a nice mix of beginner and challenging experiences.
