Legendary might seem like an ambitious adjective for a sports bar, but loyal customers agree that Buffalo Jack’s Legendary Wings has earned its name. The restaurant might not be fancy, but what it lacks in elegance it certainly makes up for in great food, beer, and entertainment.
This is the type of place you’d want to hit up with a group of old friends — ideally during a football or baseball game. The restaurant is also frequented by families, so you’re certainly welcome to stop by with your kids. The prices are the main point of appeal for families, but the special menu “for the little buffalos” is also much appreciated.
Both the kid and adult menus include a variety of all-American options designed to satisfy. The restaurant may be best known for its wings, but you’ll also find burgers, pizza, and pasta.
Whether you order wings or a burger, you’ll want to wash it down with a cold beer. Buffalo Jack’s offers an extensive selection, complete with all of the usual domestics and a few local favorites including Oyster City. If you’re not into beer, they have plenty of other options.
The staff at Buffalo Jack’s (often referred to as ‘The Herd’) makes every effort to minimize their carbon footprint and otherwise be excellent stewards. The restaurant has instated a variety of eco-friendly practices in hopes of having a positive impact. These include using cups with no CFCs, conversion of excess soybean oil into diesel fuel, and using 100 percent recyclable napkins and hand towels. The Herd hopes to further amp up their green efforts in the future.

Simply put, no visit to Buffalo Jack’s is complete without an order of wings. A variety of sauce selections are available, including everything from Thai Peanut to Habanero Hot. To order, select your preferred size and sauce. Most visitors order wings in increments of five, but larger parties are welcome to order 30, 50, or even 100 wings. Each order comes with celery, carrots, and selected sauces or dressings.
Bacon Bacon Burger
If you adore all things bacon, the beloved Bacon Bacon Burger is for you. Topped with an astounding seven strips of bacon, this burger is a carnivore’s dream come true. Like every burger served at Buffalo Jack’s, it comes with your choice of potato salad, onion rings, or fries. If your burger and bacon are somehow not enough, you can also add lettuce, tomato, onion, mayonnaise, or pickles at no charge.
Spin Dip Pizza
This pizza is not quite like any other pie you’ll find in Destin. The pizza’s hand-tossed crust features a base consisting of delicious spinach and artichoke dip — the kind you might devour with chips or crackers if left to your own devices at a potluck. Other ingredients include oven-roasted garlic, feta cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes.
New Orleans Shrimp Platter
If you’re craving a classic Southern-style meal, you’ll definitely want to order this delightful shrimp platter. Prepared to order, the platter includes shrimp from the Gulf, garlic French bread, cornbread hush puppies, and French fries. Mahi Mahi can be added for an extra charge. Tartar, cocktail, and Wham Bam sauce are served on the side.
