Foodies unite! If you are looking for some of the best Mexican food in Florida or in the country, for that matter, check out Macho Taco. This hot spot is located right in Hub 30A, an exciting gathering place for family and friends in the beautiful Florida panhandle. This favorite location is hip and happening and Macho Taco fits right in. You can see their artistic original logo inspired by one of their chefs. It whimsically features a skull with a beard wearing a colorful blue sombrero and hangs high in the Florida sky. But it’s the food that keeps people coming back for more. Everything they serve is awesome with a capital A and then some. Especially if you like Mexican fare with a heated soulful southern twist. From their namesake tacos to a full line of delicious appetizers and chef specialties, their elevated Mexican menu is loaded with culinary creativity. And don’t worry, you won’t go hungry. Their portions are as filling as they are flavorful. The food is so famous, a famous celebrity, Jamie Foxx stopped by in 2021 to check it out. You never know who might stop by for a Macho Taco treat! Take a look at their menu featuring Mexican fare with soul:
All Macho Taco appetizers are served with freshly made house-fried tortilla chips…a must-have starter for any macho meal:
Salsa And Chips:
Roasted tomatoes, onions, garlic, lime juice, and cilantro
Guacamole And Chips:
Avocado, roasted poblano peppers, lime juice, and cilantro
Queso And Chips:
Creamy white American and Monterey Jack cheese
They also have street fare options that you can combine with house-fried chips, salsa, and a fountain drink and be on your way to the rest of your day. Our favorite was the Macho Burrito. You choose your protein from the land or sea, black beans, avocado, Monterey Jack cheese, cherry tomatoes, shaved cabbage, and herb crema. Good luck eating the whole thing! It’s a whopper. Your protein choices include grilled Portobello mushrooms (yummy) slow-cooked shredded beef, slow-cooked pork chimichurri, seasoned grilled chicken, tempura fish, or shrimp. Grab a few extra napkins, because you are going to need them. And a cold beverage is probably a good idea too.
