Nothing marks a fancy date night quite like a visit to a sophisticated downtown steakhouse. An upscale experience awaits at The District – Seville Steak & Seafood, where you’ll find not only Pensacola’s finest steaks but also an undeniably elegant atmosphere.

As its name suggests, steak forms the basis of this restaurant’s menu, although seafood and even chicken are also served here. As you might guess, this is not a top spot for vegetarians and vegans, who, if dragged along to this carnivore-friendly restaurant, will be forced to settle for salads and sides. Meat lovers, however, will be in true paradise at this renowned steakhouse.

Attention to detail is evident not only in The District’s steaks but also with its seafood dishes and delectable sides. No matter what you order, you’ll be impressed by the quality of the cuisine.

The more you know about The District’s process for curing its meats, the more you’ll appreciate these delectable entrees. The restaurant is home to a special dry-aging room, where Chef Josh Warner custom ages and hand cuts all steaks. He claims that this practice is rare not only on the Emerald Coast but also throughout the state of Florida and in most regions of the United States. The dry-aging process is worthwhile, however, as it concentrates the flavors of high-end cuts of meat. Additionally, this process allows natural enzymes to break down connective tissue to allow for the most tender cuts imaginable.

The right cocktail can instantly elevate an already exceptional steak. All cocktails at The District are made to order from fresh ingredients. Favorites include the Five Flags Spicy Paloma, the Al Capone Manhattan, and the Vieux Carre. Wine is also a great choice — and at The District, it’s available by the glass or in three or six-ounce pours. You’re also welcome to order from a wide range of available whiskeys, bourbons, scotches, or other top-shelf liquors.

A few of our favorite menu items include the following:

District Caesar Salad
Get your District experience off to a healthy start with this delicious salad, which features baby romaine lettuce, pecorino crisp, house croutons, and a delightfully smoky caesar dressing.

New York Strip
Keep it classic with a tender New York strip steak. This particular steak is available as either a hand-cut or a dry-aged entree. A variety of temperatures are available, but medium-rare is always a safe bet.

Tomahawk Ribeye
One of several dry-aged steaks available at The District, this amazing ribeye is definitely worth ordering. You’ll want to arrive with a giant appetite or plan to split with a friend, however, as the 38-ounce steak is designed to serve two guests.

Parmesan Crusted Sea Scallops
The District may be best known as a steakhouse, but the alternate options are just as tasty as the restaurant’s renowned steaks — as evidenced by these delicious sea scallops. Like all seafood options served at The District, your sea scallops can be grilled, blackened, broiled, or pan-seared according to your personal preferences.

Roasted Chicken
This gluten-free entree features chicken from Spring Mountain Farms, along with roasted summer vegetables and whipped cauliflower.

There’s no Pensacola dining establishment quite like The District – Seville Steak & Seafood. If you desire an upscale experience, this classy restaurant should top your Emerald Coast culinary bucket list.

Insider Tips:
– As with any restaurant situated in Pensacola’s downtown area, parking can be complicated when you visit The District. Keep an eye out for spots along South Tarragona and East Government Streets. If you visit on a Friday or Saturday evening, you might be able to take advantage of complimentary valet parking.
– Reservations are strongly recommended. The District partners with OpenTable to streamline this process, although you’re also welcome to call. In fact, calling is preferred if you intend to visit with a group of more than seven guests.
