Fosko Coffee Barre presents beautifully crafted coffees, crepes and cocktails in a sophisticated and classy setting. Whether you’re looking to get some work done or wow a date, this is not just your ordinary coffee shop.
While the menu at Fosko Coffee Barre may mimic that of many other cafes, the menu is where any similarities with generic coffee shops stop. The cappuccinos, lattes and mochas are all elegantly presented with creative latte art, and even the daily brews are above-average. Rather than offering a typical drip that’s kept warm for who knows how long, each cup of regular coffee is made fresh via a manual pour-over.
As for non-coffee daytime beverages, there’s an equally tempting list of tea, hot chocolate and smoothie choices. The frappes, in particular, are enticing with their caffeinated and protei-laden mix that boasts less than 1 gram of sugar.
For later in the day, a pleasant cocktail menu offers truly adult choices. Both hot and iced cocktails are made with the same care that goes into the coffee, and there’s also beer, wine and champagne if you prefer something a little softer.
The food menu here is similar to the coffee and cocktail ones, in that it’s well-curated and everything on it is delicious. Most of the non-liquid items are creps, including savory, sweet and traditional variations, but there’s also a selection of cheesecakes if you prefer.
All of this is served in a setting that’s designed to impress, as the cafe is adorned with copperware. Take a moment to gaze at the copper tile ceiling when you first enter, and then you’ll see lots of copper barware and mugs behind the counter. The copper Elektra Belle Epoque espresso machines on the counter certainly can’t be missed.
As you might expect given the sophistication of this place, prices here aren’t the cheapest in town. They aren’t unreasonable, though, and the quality is worth paying for. Most beverages range from $3 to $6, and crepes tend to be between $7 and $11 per order.

Tower Cold Brew
The Tower Cold Brew is the best of the three cold-brew options. Brewed drip-by-drip, this brew method brings out highly nuanced flavors that other methods are unable to. There’s limited availability because brewing is so slow, but definitely try this if it’s made when you visit.
C.O.W.
The C.O.W. is a fully vegetarian coffee of the week that has nothing to do with the animal. The artisan roast is always has a light or medium profile, and each cup is individually made as a pour-over. You’ll get one of the freshest (and tastiest) cups of coffee possible.
Mocha Fit Frappe
Caffeine, 20 grams of protein and less than 1 gram of sugar. Do you need anything more? The Mocha Fit Frappe has chocolate if the nutrition alone doesn’t convince you.
Nitro Beer
A Fairhope Coffee Stout with Fosko’s house-made nitro cold brew. Deep, dark, frothy and delicious. Get this one anytime.
Lavender S’mores
One of the most exquisite crepes, the Lavender S’mores is a traditional s’more crepe (marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers) that’s elevated with hints of lavender. The lavender comes across in the flavored and house-made marshmallows, which definitely aren’t anything like store-bought.

– Being such an eclectic coffee shop, Fosko Coffee Bar can get busy. Try to visit during non-peak hours so that you don’t have to wait in line. At the busiest times of day, the line can go out the door.
