Swampy Jack’s Wongo Adventure has thrilling and fun rides that are inspired by the worldwide travels of the legendary Swampy Jack. For thrills that will put a smile on your face and likely get out a few squeals, this is the amusement park and family fun center to visit.
The rides at Swampy Jack’s Wongo Adventure are nearly as exotic as the locales he’s visited. If you believe his tales, the thrills these rides offer are also just as exhilarating as the travails Swampy Jack has been through. The Everglade Swamp Ape, Kraken and Yacuma all invite those who dare to venture beyond their thresholds.
The one exception to the travel-themed thrill rides is the Marrakesh Road Rally. Best described as Mario Kart come to life, this technically challenging track combines the excitement of electric go-carting with an interactive component that pits drivers against each other much like everyone’s favorite Itailians and monsters go head-to-head in the game.
Entering the themed adventure center is free, but guests pay a per-ride charge each time they go one something. Prices are generally between $5 and $10 per ride, although they fluctuate with the season.
This park might seem small from the outside, but it’s full of fun on the interior. If your group is looking for head-spinning and scream-inducing thrills, Swampy Jack’s Wongo Adventure has what you’re looking for.
A few of our favorite attractions at Swampy Jack’s Wongo Adventure are:
Marrakesh Road Rally
Far from a basic go-cart track, this has sloped straightaways, banked turns, and twists this way and that. The electric carts have instant torque that provides for zippy acceleration, and the innovative interactive component makes driving with (or against) friends even more fun.
Swamp Ape
A true Florida legend, the Swamp Ape has ventured up from the Everglades to terrorize visitors of Panama City Beach. Take your picture with the behemoth, and then prepare to be turned until you’re dizzy in the Scambler. The fog, light and sound show add atmosphere and help Swamp Ape feel more at home.
Blue Hole
Reminiscent of Swampy Jack’s trip to the Red Sea, these under-water themed bumper cars won’t have you jostling only forward, back, left and right. No, they’re round so you can send others spinning off away from you — or get sent spinning in circles yourself.
Eye of the Kraken
The Kraken isn’t actually able to stay at the land-based park, but this ride will give you a sense of what getting caught by the squid-like monster out in the Pacific Ocean would be like. Rise up into the area and then, get spun in seemingly endless circles until you almost can’t take anymore.
Yacuma
The mother of the Amazon River, the Yacuma guards an entrance to the Wipeout ride. Get spun again, and see whether you can survive what it’d be like to get caught in one of her river’s whirlpools.
Insider Tips:
– While these rides are great fun for older children and adults, they all have height restrictions of at least 36 or 42 inches. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot (or anything) for young children to do here.
– Instead of using cash or credit cards in the park, guests load money onto a Wongo charge card. Any balance that remains on the card can be saved for a future visit. If you’re from out-of-town and won’t visit again, they are willing to refund any unused dollars left on the card. (Not including any bonus dollars)
