Few Emerald Coast golf experiences match the blend of excitement and serenity found at Panama City’s Holiday Golf Club. This local gem is a favorite among beginners, advanced golfers, and everyone in between. The picturesque courses are carefully aerated and maintained to ensure excellent conditions all year long.
While the club has long held an esteemed reputation in and around Panama City, a 2014 redesign took it to the next level with improved tee boxes and the exceptional performance of TifEagle turf. Today, it is one of the region’s most beloved golf destinations, and for good reason; golfers of all skill levels can count on the courses to be meticulously maintained — and to always provide enticing challenges.
Vast facilities may initially make the Holiday Golf Club difficult to navigate, but they also ensure an ideal experience for a wide array of visitors. Don’t hesitate to ask the club’s friendly staff members for help; they can provide the guidance necessary to ensure you enjoy your golf experience to the fullest.
A few of our favorite activities and amenities include the following:
Pro Shop
The right equipment can transform your game, while a stylish outfit can grant you much-needed confidence. You’ll find both at the golf club’s fully-stocked store, which is bursting with name brands. Whether you intend on killing time before your game or scoring the best products possible, you’ll enjoy browsing the excellent selection at this shop.
Practice Facilities
Take your short game to the next level at the Holiday Golf Club’s practice facilities, where you can make the most of valuable chipping and putting areas. PGA staff members are available for lessons — and they’re eager to help you improve your game. Your efforts at the practice facilities will quickly pay off, making your experience on the course that much more enjoyable.
Par 3 Course
Unique to the region, this 1,003-yard course provides a wonderful opportunity to master your short game. It’s a popular option among beginners, as well as more advanced golfers who simply happen to be short on time.
Championship Course
There is plenty to love about the par 3 course, but ultimately, the championship edition is the main attraction at the Holiday Golf Club. This challenging 18-hole course builds water into nearly every hole while also maintaining notoriously generous fairways. Beginners and intermediate golfers will appreciate that the course is forgiving on the tee — but advanced visitors will be relieved that abundant challenges are available on the green.
Mulligans Bar & Grill
After a successful outing on your favorite course, reward yourself with a relaxing trip to the club’s onsite bar and restaurant. Open between 6 am and 6 pm, this is the perfect stop for everything from hot coffee to cold beer. You’re also welcome to grab a tasty snack or sandwich.
No matter your skill level, you will find something to love about the Holiday Golf Club. You’ll never forget this elite course’s open fairways and gorgeous views.
Insider Tips:
– If you typically rely on golf to accomplish your daily step count, you may be disappointed by the lack of walking available at the Holiday Golf Club. The 18-hole course can only be navigated by cart — walking is not allowed.
– If you’re determined to keep costs down, plan to book tee times for the afternoon when you’ll see a significant drop in rates. Keep in mind, however, that during this discounted period, you’ll likely find yourself battling the worst of the day’s heat and humidity. Still, this is a tradeoff that many visitors are more than willing to make.
– If you intend to tackle the 18-hole course, build in plenty of time for your visit, as the pace of play can be frustratingly slow during busy days.
