Shane’s Rib Shack has ribs and much, much more. For mouth-watering, hand-staining barbecue in a relaxed beach-shack atmosphere, this is a family-friendly place every carnivore will love.

With the restaurant named after them, the ribs at Shane’s Rib Shack can’t be ignored. They’re slow-cooked until the meat practically falls off the bone, slathered with “Big Dad’s” secret barbecue sauce, and served with a generous side of Texas toast. These are what made Shane famous.

It’s not only about the ribs here, though. The shack has a full array of scrumptious barbecues, including chopped pork, chopped chickens, and smoked chicken. Everything is cooked to perfection, evidencing the multiple generations of expertise that went into recipe creation. These meats are available on sandwiches, platters, and by themselves.

In addition to the traditional meats, there are also burgers, grilled chicken, and wings. Side selections include usual barbecue accompaniments, like baked beans, coleslaw, and green beans, and the homemade peach cobbler is a wonderful dessert. Kids’ meals can be grilled cheese, chicken tenders, wings, a cheeseburger, or ribs (for those who have discerning tastes).

You won’t find many vegetarian or vegan options available, but there are several choices for people who are gluten-sensitive. The barbecue meats and several sides are gluten-free.

Beverages in this family-friendly casual restaurant are limited to soda, bottled water, and Southern-style sweet tea, which is sold by the gallon.

With no alcohol on-site, a casual atmosphere, affordable prices and everyone making a mess when they eat, this is the perfect place to bring children of any age. Come with the family, and dig in. You can all wash up on your way out.

A few of our menu favorites include:

Full Rack Baby Back Ribs
The dish that a restaurant’s named after is always worth getting. While a half-rack is available, the full rack of baby back ribs ensures you won’t go home hungry and might even supply lunch for the following day. Pair it with two sides, or get the rack alone by itself. Either way is good.

Shack Potato
The Shack Potato takes the classic loaded baked potato to a whole other level. Available with chicken or port, it loads your preferred barbecue meat on with other fixings you’re going to love.

Shack Salad
The Shack Salad piles barbecue (or other) meat and Texas toast on top of a bed of veggies, so you don’t need to feel guilty about eating only meat and starches. Available with barbecue pork, barbecue chicken, grilled chicken, and fried chicken tenders, this is a dish you could enjoy with your trainer.

Smoked Wings
Lots of places have good wings, but not many smoke their wings barbecue-style. If you’re a fan of traditional chicken wings, try the Smoked Wings for a unique twist on the classic. Get a bunch by themselves to share as an appetizer, or order yourself a basket that comes with fries and a side.

Gallon Tea
Sweet tea. Sold by the gallon. There’s no more you need to say.

Insider Tip:
If you’re looking for a meal out but have tired or hangry kids, Shane’s Rib Shack is a good choice. You order at the counter and the service is fast, so the time kids are sitting without food is minimal.
