Destin Laser Tag is always a great place to go when you want to have fun with the whole family. Set right along the Emerald Coast Parkway, their laser tag arena is the star of the show, of course. But their mini-golf course and arcade never fail to delight either. Want to take your experience to the next level? They offer birthday party packages and lock-in events as well.
With over 4,000 square feet of space for hiding, dodging, and running about, the laser tag arena sets the stage for an amazing afternoon of fun. Up to 40 people can join each game, engaging in a free-for-all battle for a spot in the winner’s circle. Each game kicks off with all contenders heading into the vesting room to gear up.
While there, you’ll get your sensor-equipped vest and laser, plus a rundown of all the rules. Then, it’s a no-holds-barred brawl for the top spot, continuing until there’s just one person left standing. Most games last around 20 minutes, although they could go longer. You’re welcome to come back through for another game once the first finishes up.
Parents and kids can participate in the laser tag games together. Sometimes, they even act as a team with one holding the laser and the other wearing the pack. If you prefer to sit it out but still want photos, ask to go in the maze without any gear. But just be sure to watch out for players darting about.
After you get all tired out from the running, ducking, and diving in the laser tag arena, you can slow it down a bit with a trip through the mini-golf course. This indoor, air-conditioned course features neon colors lit up with blacklights, so you can revel in the rich hues while you putt-putt to victory. There are 18 challenging holes across the course, each of which demands you strategize to make it into the end under par. Each round takes about 45 minutes to play, giving you plenty of time for multiple games in a single day.
For even more fun, you can head over to the mini arcade. They have the original Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga arcade games plus crane machines filled with fun prizes. If you want to go head-to-head with your friends, you can play pool, air hockey, or hop in the auto racing cabinets. Although it’s just a small arcade, there’s plenty enough there to keep you busy for hours.
Are you celebrating a birthday during your visit? If so, make sure to sign up for a birthday package to get nearly two hours in the party room. While there, you can eat any cake and other treats you bring, sip on complimentary soda, and open presents. After that, you’re free to play laser tag and mini-golf plus visit the arcade. You’ll need to reserve the space at least 24 hours in advance to secure your spot, but it’s well worth planning ahead.
If you want to take your laser tag, mini-golf, and arcade experience to the next level, ask about their lock-ins. With that arrangement, you’ll get to come in after business hours and play whatever you’d like for three full hours. You can even bring your own pizza, donuts, or whatever other treats you like. Over 21? They also allow adults of legal age to bring alcoholic beverages and sip them onsite. For this experience, plan to reserve the space at least one week prior to your planned arrival.
