If you love bowling or just want to try it for the first time, Hurricane Lanes is the place to go in Destin, Florida. At this popular bowling alley, they have 26 lanes available, giving you plenty of space to throw strike after strike. Better yet, their lanes are well-maintained and always in great working order, making them a favorite with local bowling leagues. To add to the magic, they even run special events from time to time, including blacklight bowling and late-night games.
As you play each game, big screens help you keep score, so you can say goodbye to paper and pencil tracking. You can watch in awe as the machines sweep up the pins and set up for the next throw while the screen updates your score in real-time. On top of that, each lane at Hurricane Lanes has ample cozy seating that lets you kick back, relax, and have a nice chat with your group mates.
In between games, you have many incredible arcade games to play, including Skee-Ball, of course. If you prefer a bit more action with your gameplay, there’s also billiards, table tennis, darts, and air hockey in the facility. You can easily find someone happy to join your game if needed, thanks to the friendly, upbeat atmosphere.
Despite the welcoming ambiance at Hurricane Lanes, quality service is spotty at best. The front desk can be quite helpful in getting you set up and ready to have a great time. If there are problems, it’s hit or miss on whether they’ll be resolved to your satisfaction. Most patrons are unfazed, however, because they’re having such a fun time bowling and playing all the other games.
As you work up an appetite, you can always jet on over to the Strikeforce Café for a bite to eat. Their team works hard to roll out the pizza, sandwiches, and everything in between. They make each item to order, so there’s a little bit of a wait but it’s well worth sticking around.
Stop by the Hurricane Lanes café to enjoy:
Mac and Cheese Bites
When you want crispy, cheesy goodness in every bite, you cannot go wrong with the Mac and Cheese Bites. Delivered eight at a time, each order starts with creamy mac and cheese that’s scooped up and breaded. Then, it’s taken for a dip in the fryer until golden brown and served piping hot and ready to enjoy.
Build-Your-Own Burger
If you’re in the mood for a burger made your way, order up the Build-Your-Own Burger. This delightful entrée starts with a juicy hamburger patty placed on a robust bun. To that, they add your choice of cheese, toppings, and sauce. Bacon, onion straws, and an extra patty are available for an extra charge. You can also add a side of fries or onion straws for a bit more.
Funnel Cake
Looking for a sweet treat? Do yourself a favor and get the Funnel Cake, for sure. This dessert comes with two five-inch funnel cakes, made by drizzling their batter into the deep-fat fryer until rich and golden. After that, they’re dusted in tons of powdered sugar to kick the sweetness into high gear.
When icy cool beverages call your name, waltz on over to Rupert’s Sports Bar, also located right inside the Hurricane Lanes. Open to patrons aged 21 and up, this bar has all the alcoholic beverages you could want. They’re available at a discount, too, if you come by on Monday through Friday from 11 am to 6 pm for happy hour. On Monday, another late-night happy hour keeps the deals going from 10 pm to 2 am.
Insider Tips:

-Want to sip on your drinks while bowling the night away? Ask to order a bucket of brews to take back to your lane.
