Osaka Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in Destin, Florida, has made it their mission to serve well-prepared food made from fresh ingredients. Their energetic chefs take the visit up a notch by making every step of the cooking process as entertaining as possible.

While sitting around the hibachi grill at each table, guests are treated to fun tricks, like the onion volcano. The chefs even juggle eggs using their spatula before cracking them open and adding them to the fried rice. Guests are invited to play along all the while, catching shrimp and egging on the chef to push their skills to the next level.

If you prefer something a little more low-key, you can ask to be seated at the sushi bar instead. They will serve as much sushi and sashimi as you like while you hang out there. You cannot order hibachi dishes at the bar, however. They are well-known for their fresh fish and inventive creations, however, so no one leaves feeling like they are missing out. For both hibachi and sushi (or sashimi), sit at the tables and you can order anything on the menu. Their prices are a bit high, but the food is well worth the cost.

Although their Destin location is relatively new, it has all the magic of their other restaurants. They treat guests to the same menu at each location, as it is absolutely full of delicious sushi, sashimi, and hibachi dishes. They have a wide range of amazing drinks, including a full wine menu. The dessert offerings are worth a try as well, especially the red bean ice cream.

Some popular menu items include:

Yukke
Similar to steak tartare, Yukke features high-quality beef prepared raw with a blend of delicious spices. This restaurant serves their version with a hint of heat and a cucumber salad on the side. For the whole experience, take a moment to savor their delicate plating style before digging in.

Kodako-Tem
If you want to experience something a little different and very tasty, order up the Kodako-Tem. To prepare this dish, they start with a lightly-seasoned tempura batter and add the tender baby octopus. Then, they fry up the tendrils until golden brown and serve them piping hot with your side of choice.

Hibachi Chicken
When you order the Hibachi Chicken, you will sit front and center while it is prepared with a flourish. The meat always comes out well-seasoned and incredibly tender, pairing well with all the delicious sides. By the end of the show, you will have a plate piled high with chicken, rice, zucchini, and any other sides you order.

Katsu-Don
When you choose the Katsu-Don, select from pork or chicken to kick off this flavor experience. They will bread your meat of choice in panko and fry it up golden brown. Then, they cook it up with green onions, yellow onions, mushrooms, carrots and eggs. The generous portion of meat and vegetables are poured over a bed of rice, then brought to your table hot and ready to enjoy.

In addition to dropping in for lunch or dinner at your leisure, you can also schedule a private event at this restaurant. They will create a custom menu for you and your guests using all your preferred entrees and sides. You can bring up to 60 guests to your event, but you have to register with your location of choice well ahead of time.
