Conveniently located just across Highway 90 from the beach on the northern end of Mexico Beach sits Caribbean Coffee & Cafe. A popular morning spot to grab a cup of coffee or quick breakfast, this lively little café packs a pretty large menu of beverages, pastries, and breakfast and lunch favorites.

This cheerful, beachy yellow shack sits at the end of a line of tropically colored shacks housing various small restaurants, cafes, and shops. White signs with “Caribbean Coffee” proudly spelled out in bright colors adorn the front and side of the building.

The casual, colorful vibe continues as you step inside Caribbean Coffee & Cafe. The small and eclectic exterior is surrounded by tropically colored walls and light yellow doorframes. The counter is adorned with colorful shutters, and the wall behind it features cabinets in bright, tropical hues. Around the small shop are a smattering of brightly painted wooden tables and chairs. Local goods and items for purchase line the front of the counter and shelves on the wall. There’s a small outdoor patio with some tables and attractive plants, as well.

The menu is relatively large for such a small space. It offers coffee and tea drinks like espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white, Americano, cold brew, chai latte, and freshly brewed iced tea. They also offer four flavors of frappes and 8 flavors of organic smoothies. Flavor shots are available as an addition to any beverage for a small additional cost.

For our sweet-toothed friends, there’s an extensive pastry menu ranging from scones to muffins to danishes, cupcakes, cake pops, and more. If you’re looking for a slightly more substantial breakfast, brunch, or lunch, Caribbean Coffee & Cafe menu includes breakfast biscuits and croissants, two types of quiche, a gruyere and bacon frittata, a chicken salad croissant, three types of grilled cheeses, and pulled pork, Cuban, or toasted PB&J sandwiches.

As an added bonus on Wednesdays, their “Waffle Wednesday” menu offers three flavors of homemade Belgian waffles, with the option of fresh fruit on the side.

Some of our favorite menu items were as follows:

Chai Latte
On a chilly beachside morning, we wanted nothing more than something warm and comforting that would heat us up from the inside out, and the chai latte certainly did the trick. The combination of milk, delicate spices, and freshly brewed tea was just what we needed to kickstart our morning.

Cold Brew
For the warmer weather, we were all in on the cold brew. Strong, cold, and refreshing, it’s a great wake-me-up beverage choice for an early morning or a perfect midday pick-me-up.

White Chocolate Frappe
If you’re feeling a little indulgent, we definitely recommend the white chocolate frappe. Its rich, milky texture paired with the decadent white chocolate flavoring makes this a perfect cold, sweet treat for a hot day.

Chocolate Chip Muffin
Caribbean Coffee & Cafe offers a wide selection of muffin flavors, but we just couldn’t get enough of their chocolate chip muffins. Large chocolate chunks sweetened up every bite of this moist, freshly baked muffin, and, quite frankly, we couldn’t ask for anything more in a delicious morning treat.

Cinnamon Roll
Come here. Get the cinnamon roll. Ask for it to be heated up. Enjoy it outside on the patio while it’s still warm. You won’t be sorry. Trust us. That’s all we’re saying.

Gruyere Cheese and Bacon Frittata
For something more savory, we loved the frittata. This gluten-free option was packed with flavor, and the combination of gruyere and bacon can’t be beaten.

Whether stopping in for a morning caffeine fix or looking for a quick and tasty breakfast on your way to the beach, Caribbean Coffee & Cafe should be your go-to morning stop. It sure became one of ours! Stop in and let us know what you liked best!
