Grab a donut and a cup of coffee, walk a few steps to the gorgeous Santa Rosa Beach, and you’ve got a recipe for an idyllic morning that’s sure to recharge your soul. Perched on the corner on 393 and 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, Sunrise Coffee has a lot to offer. Be warned: the line out front sometimes stretches a bit longer than you’d prefer for an everyday coffee run. But there’s a reason locals and tourists alike queue up for a cup of something special from Sunrise. Their consistently top-notch service, on-point coffee drinks and smoothies, and freshly-made foods make them a no-brainer when you need to make a quick coffee-and-grub run in the Santa Rosa Beach area.
Open 6 am-6 pm every day of the week, Sunrise Coffee offers an expansive drinks menu, as might be expected. But they also boast a wide array of sweets and eats options. You’ll find donuts, paninis, bagels, a generous offering of sandwiches, and a quiche that’ll knock your socks off. Whether you’re feeling a bit peckish or looking for a hearty meal to refuel after a day on the sand, you’ll find it here.
Some of our favorite menu items include:
Cinnamon Rolls
Freshly made daily, topped with a thick layer of icing, and warmed through before serving, Sunrise’s cinnamon rolls are unapologetically decadent. They’re a fan favorite and often sell out before the lunch crowd rolls in, so if you’re at all in the market for cinnamon pastry goodness, stop in earlier rather than later to place your order.
Quesadillas
Sunrise makes their quesadillas to order, so you’ll know you’re getting the good stuff exactly like you want it, when you order it. Gooey, melted cheese pairs perfectly with savory, well-seasoned meats and other filling choices, which always manage to be pretty much on point.
Grown-Up Drinks
Cocktails from a coffee shop? Sunrise’s management likes to think outside the box. Indulge in a grown-up drink while people-watching on the patio! Pina Coladas, frozen margaritas, and frozen daiquiris all stand out as fan favorites. Sunrise also has a limited wine menu and serves beer, mimosas, bloody marys, and mimosas.
Coffee aficionados have a divided opinion on Sunrise Coffee’s actual coffee drinks, with about half claiming they’re a bit weak or light on the coffee–so if you like your coffee particularly strong, this might not be the place for you. But in general, the service, food and drink quality, and atmosphere make it an automatic winner despite the occasionally lackluster coffee.
Sunrise Coffee Co. is located at the intersection of Highway 393 and 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. It’s right across the street from a public access beach, and it’s within easy walking distance of many of Santa Rosa Beach’s best restaurants and attractions, so it’s an easy stop when you’re heading to or from a day at the beach.
Insider Tip:
Lines can back up quite a way. The wait time for hot food items can be particularly long when Sunrise gets busy, so be prepared for that if you’re ordering a meal.
