Established shortly after Hurricane Ivan decimated the area, The Jellyfish Restaurant began as a small sushi and martini bar but has since expanded to provide a wide range of multicultural seafood-inspired dishes, as well as burgers, tacos, and more.
The restaurant’s diverse menu makes it a great destination for groups with varying tastes — especially if not all are enthused about seafood. A bar area is also provided, with bartenders offering prompt service and excellent suggestions for those struggling to pair drinks with the establishment’s unique appetizers and meals. Top drink options include several signature martinis, as well as craft beer and fine wines.
While The Jellyfish Restaurant provides a wonderful environment for date night, it also has a sufficiently family-friendly atmosphere for groups with kids. The children’s menu includes everything from typical cheeseburgers and fried chicken to angel hair pasta.
The aesthetic at The Jellyfish echoes the contemporary vibes of the restaurant’s inventive menu. The decor is simple, but effective, providing a beachy feel without going over the top as is sometimes the case at Emerald Coast seafood shacks. As pleasant as the interior is, however, the patio is even more inviting. Nothing compares to a tasty dinner accompanied by a great view and the fresh Gulf breeze.
A few of our favorite menu items include the following:
Spicy Tuna Nachos
This unique take on nachos delivers all of the crunch and flavor your heart could possibly desire. Fried wonton chips are used in place of the typical tortilla chips. These are topped with a spicy tuna blend, as well as avocado, sesame seeds, and cilantro. Wasabi mayo and eel sauce replace nacho cheese while adding plenty of flavor.
Surf & Turf Sushi
Enjoy a Floridian spin on sushi, complete with steamed shrimp, steak, avocado, and green onion. All this is topped with eel sauce and spicy mayo. Your order includes eight pieces of sushi.
Jellyfish Burger
Don’t worry if you have no desire for sushi or other forms of seafood. Despite its name, this burger contains no trace of fish. Instead, it features a half-pound fresh steakburger patty with crispy onion rings, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Enjoy on a butter-griddled bun and with French fries on the side.
Fish & Chips
Tempura batter ups the ante for this fun version of fish & chips, which features Gulf whitefish, plus slaw and a generous portion of fries.
Salmon BLT
Elevate your BLT with grilled salmon. This mouthwatering sandwich also features Texas toast, smoked bacon, and, of course, lettuce and tomato.
A variety of inventive dishes will have you licking your lips as you sample your way through The Jellyfish Restaurant’s memorable menu. Take a risk and try something unique.
