What do you get when you combine more than 50 types of tequila, international cart-style tacos, a casual neighborhood vibe, and a historic downtown Pensacola setting? The inimitable Taco Agave. A delectable destination for those who love tequila, Taco Agave is guaranteed to more than hit the spot.

It may have the word “taco” in its name, but Taco Agave is all about the tequila. In fact, it’s a safe bet to say that you’ve probably never seen so much tequila in your life. The mixologists at Taco Agave have whipped up an enticing menu of specialty cocktails made with fresh fruit juice, hand-made syrups, and other intriguing ingredients. Mouthwatering options include the Michelada made with Tecate, Bloody Mary mix, Cholula hot sauce, and fresh lime; the Cucumber Cilantro Margarita made with El Jimador Blanco, Cointreau, muddled cilantro and cucumber; simple syrup and fresh lime; and the Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita featuring Milagro Reposado, Cointreau, house-made sour, muddled strawberries and jalapeño, simple syrup and lime.

One word of warning? You’ll probably have to squeeze in a return visit or two while you’re in town because there’s no way you can sample every mouthwatering drink on one trip.

A hotspot for locals and tourists alike, Taco Agave boasts a smaller menu of equally enticing starters, tacos, and other Mexican-inspired favorites. In addition to the usual fare like chips and salsa, you’ll find creative options like Asian BBQ Pork tacos and Oreo Churros. (Yes, you read that right.)

Happy Hour every Monday through Thursday between 7 PM and 11 PM includes generous specials on tacos, drafts, frozen drinks, and specialty cocktails. Hungry at lunchtime? You’re in luck. Taco Agave also hosts a “Lunchbox Special” every Monday through Friday which includes your choice of two tacos and a side of chips and salsa for just $10. 

With so much good stuff on the menu at Taco Agave, narrowing it down to a single choice can be a challenge. The good news? Taco Agave lets you create your own tasty Taco Trio.

This is not your grandmother’s taco. Made with ginger-marinated yellowfin tuna fresh from the Gulf, cabbage, cilantro, cotija cheese, chipotle aioli, wasabi peas, and lime, it packs a unique and unforgettable punch. 

The Jerk Chicken Taco
Jamaican and Mexican are a perfect marriage in this flavorful option featuring house-smoked Jerk chicken, pineapple, slaw, and Barbados-style Jerk drizzle. Crispy onions add a satisfying crunch. 

The Firecracker Shrimp Taco
Shrimp is a Gulf specialty, but you’ve never had them like this before. We love Taco Agave’s If you love spice, you’ll love this taco featuring fried shrimp tossed in firecracker sauce, cabbage, jalapeño, wasabi peas, and cotija cheese.
