Sushi Masa Pensacola is a sushi hot spot in Pensacola, and it’s not hard to see why. Located on Bayou Boulevard near Pensacola International Airport, the restaurant’s nondescript exterior doesn’t even hint at the delicious food oasis that awaits inside. The grey building is marked by a red sign with white and blue accents above the front door.

Inside, wooden tables and chairs are surrounded by green walls adorned with Japanese artwork and nautical-themed décor. A bar area features mood lighting and several televisions. In the hibachi area, diners sit around large hibachi tables to enjoy tasty food and culinary entertainment.

The menu here is enormous, ensuring almost anyone will find something they love. Sushi Masa Pensacola offers sushi and kitchen appetizers, soups, salads, vegetable rolls, cooked rolls, raw rolls, chef special rolls, sushi, sashimi, sushi bar entrees, sushi boats for two, teriyaki, fried rice, katsu, tempura, yaki udon, yaki soba, and hibachi dinners. We could eat here every day for a year, and it feels like we still wouldn’t have time to taste everything! (That doesn’t mean we won’t try, though.)

Arguably the best menu feature is the all-you-can-eat option. Available at both lunch and dinner, Sushi Masa Pensacola AYCE includes your choice of salads, soups, appetizers, tempura, hot items, sushi and sashimi, and dozens of rolls, including special rolls. It also comes with unlimited soft drinks or one alcoholic beverage, as well as dessert. We highly recommend considering the all-you-can-eat option, especially if it’s your first time, as it’s an excellent way to try lots of different menu items and find your favorites. Plus, it’s a really good deal!

Because there are so very many delicious things on the menu, it’s hard to narrow our favorites down to just a few. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious.

However, here are a few must-try dishes at Sushi Masa Pensacola to get you started:

Baby Tiger Roll
This roll, available a la carte or as part of the all-you-can-eat special, features spicy tuna and cucumber inside, topped with salmon, avocado, crunch, eel sauce, and masago. The savory fish blends perfectly with the crisp freshness of the cucumber and salty decadence of the eel sauce, resulting in a delicious bite.

Snow White Roll
This takes a shrimp tempura roll to a whole new level, by topping it with snow crab, and eel sauce. It’s crisp, savory, and all-around delicious.

LSU Roll
In all of our sushi outings, we’ve never had a roll quite like this. Japanese meets the bayou here, as snow crab, cream cheese, and spicy crawfish are wrapped in soy paper. The roll is then deep-fried and topped with spicy mayo and eel sauce, creating a tasty and totally decadent bite.

Chicken Teriyaki
Sometimes, you just want a tried-and-true classic, and Susi Masa Pensacola is doing it right with their chicken teriyaki. Served with soup or salad, vegetables, and white rice, the chicken is tender and perfectly cooked, and the teriyaki sauce is the perfect combination of salty, savory, and just a little bit sweet. Altogether, this is a delicious – and filling – dish.

With so many delicious menu items available, everyone’s bound to have a few favorites. What did you enjoy most during your visit?
