While the balcony will no doubt be a favorite spot for relaxing after a day on the go, the interior of Treasure Island 911 is equally inviting. The sliding glass doors that connect the balcony to the living room enable you to admire the view even as you kick back on the sofa or nestle in an armchair. There’s room for everyone to gather to watch a movie on the 47” LCD TV with cable and DVD player or to play charades.
Treasure Island 911’s enviable location means it’s close to numerous restaurants. What’s more, the condo complex has 2 charcoal grills by the pool and 2 gas grills on the deck outside the 3rd floor of the parking garage, so if you reel in some flounder while surf fishing, you can cook it up right here. And of course, the unit has its own fully equipped kitchen. Refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster: The kitchen has it all. The only things you need to supply are food and an appetite. The dining table seats 4 in wonderfully cushioned chairs, and 4 more people can belly up to the breakfast bar.
The primary bedroom features a sumptuous king-size bed, a 32” TV with DVD player, a private bathroom, and a walk-in closet. Like the living room, it opens directly onto the balcony. While the others are asleep, you can slip outside for some late-night stargazing, then nestle into bed and let the soothing sound of the surf lull you to sleep.
The 2nd bedroom is just as restful, with a queen-size bed and its own 32” TV. If you’re vacationing with the kids, they’re sure to love the 3rd sleeping area, an alcove just off the dining area that’s equipped with built-in twin bunk beds. Additional guests can make themselves comfortable in the living room’s sleeper sofa, which opens into a queen-size bed, enabling Treasure Island 911 to sleep 8 people in total.
Other amenities of Treasure Island 911 include free WiFi, a private washer and dryer, and an assigned parking space as well as additional guest parking. Then there are the amenities of the Treasure Island complex. For starters, there’s the 120-foot beachfront swimming pool, which is heated during the colder months. After your swim, luxuriate on the surrounding deck, which includes a hot tub, chaises for drying off in the sun, and gazebos for lounging in the shade. There’s even a seasonal poolside café. If you prefer to work up a sweat, you can take advantage of the fitness center, which includes treadmills, elliptical machines, and weights.
And of course, there’s the beach. Because it’s practically your backyard, you can come and go as you please. Surf fish or swim in the morning, parasail or paddleboard in the afternoon, canoe or kayak before dusk… and be sure to catch the sunset over the gulf at least once during your stay; it’s simply magical.
There’s plenty more to do beyond the beach and the complex. At St. Andrews State Park, just a little more than a mile away, you can hike or bike along nature trails, snorkel, and scuba dive, among other activities. ZooWorld, WonderWorks, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! are among the attractions less than 10 minutes away by car.
