On a recent visit to Kilwins Ice Cream & Fudge, we found the shop chock full of people looking to satisfy their sweet tooth. The smell of freshly made fudge greets you as soon as you walk in, so we found our wait to be both pleasant and mouth-watering. In addition to display cases of pre-packaged sweets, you can also watch the fudge makers creating a variety of confections right before your eyes. The freshness of the confections is clear, and everything we tried at Kilwins tasted fresh and flavorful, and not too sugary sweet.
Our group sampled several menu items before choosing a few selections to purchase, and we could have easily tried many more! The menu is generous, and, while the prices are a bit higher than the average ice cream parlor or candy store, they clearly reflect the attention to hand-crafted quality.

Tin Roof Sundae (in a waffle bowl)
A classic sundae to give you that old-time Americana feeling. “Original recipe” vanilla ice cream smothered in a generous quantity of hot fudge, topped with whipped cream, peanuts, and a cherry. We opted to make it extra special by ordering a waffle bowl. Like many other items at Kilwins Ice Cream & Fudge, the waffle bowls are made right on-site, as are their waffle cones. We found the waffle to be the perfect texture to complement the creamy ice cream!
Coconut Ice Cream (with hot fudge and caramel)
A local favorite, this toasty, refreshing flavor paired perfectly with hot fudge and rich caramel. It’s an outstanding combination that feels just a touch exotic–perfect for a vacation indulgence!
Chocolate Covered Twinkie
There are many chocolate-covered options to choose from, but you can’t beat the nostalgia factor of a chocolate-dipped Twinkie. Rich, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth yummy, this was something of a show stopper that was worth every penny (and calorie!).
Sea Salt Caramel Fudge
Enticed by the tastiness of the warm caramel sauce, we tried the sea salt caramel fudge and immediately opted to get a few slices. A perfect combo of chocolate and caramel, with just the right amount of sea salt, this barely edged out the competition from the many other delicious other options we tried.
