Emerald Falls Family Recreation Center has a bunch of fun activities that everyone in the family will enjoy. From low-key miniature golf to heart-pumping thrill rides, this is a place where the whole group can have fun together.
The headline attractions at Emerald Falls Family Recreation Center are the two miniature golf courses, both of which feature 18 holes of varying difficulties so that golfers of all ages and abilities enjoy playing. Each hole has its own unique obstacles that people love, but the Octopus and the Waterfall are two particularly popular challenges.
For those who want a little more adrenaline, there are several different options. The Sky Flyer and Vertical Accelerator elevate heart rates and get the adrenaline going, while Bumper Boats leaves everyone laughing (and sometimes a little wet). Go-cart aficionados have to try out both the Formula Track, which is a traditional go-cart track, and the four-story Vortex that takes a unique spin on driving these vehicles.
Aside from the miniature golf, all of the rides mentioned thus far have height restrictions ranging between 36 and 56 inches. Little ones who don’t meet such requirements can still have their fun, though, as the center offers five rides for the youngest (and shortest) members of the family.
The young-person rides are mostly classics that children have enjoyed for generations. They include airplanes, a miniature Ferris wheel, spinning tops, swings, and trains. There’s also an indoor arcade that’s open to everyone for times when the weather isn’t cooperating.
With a relaxed atmosphere and multiple entertainment options, Emerald Falls Family Recreation Center is perfect for many different outings. Bring the family and all the relatives here for a fun night out together, or take just one person and have a smile-filled date. This is one place where any combination of people can find something they like doing together.
A few of our favorite attractions at Emerald Falls Family Recreation Center include:
Mini Golf
Miniature golf is always a fun outing when you’re with family and friends, and these two courses are especially well designed. Dodge, hop and duck obstacles as you direct your ball to the hole. Just make sure the Waterfall and Octopus don’t take it before you reach number 18.
Vortex
Take go-carting to the next level — or four levels to be precise. The Vortex is a rickety, four-story go-cart track that will have your teeth chattering but your mouth smiling all the way. Yes, there are guardrails in case you aren’t the best driver.
Bumper Boats
How do you make bumper cars even better? Turn them into boats and crash into each other on the water. The perfect way to cool off on a hot a Florida day.
Sky Flyer
Simple but seductive for the adrenaline junkie. Strap in and get swung way up — you’ll go over 100 feet into the air. Just try to keep your eyes open and not scream as you get flung around.
Red Baron Airplanes
Families with young children will find the Red Baron Airplanes are a common favorite. Not only do they go around, but kids can make them go up and down as they’re in the air. Whoever said you need to be a grownup before you pilot a plane?
Insider Tips:
– The line for the Vortex moves slowly and is often the longest one at the center. If you have your heart set on this attraction, come early in the day and head straight for the rids. You can explore the other attractions later on when the place becomes more crowded.
– Because bumper boats are on the water, they don’t get traction as easily as bumper cars do. To really make an impact, motor away from the crowd to the other side of the pool. Then, make a beeline for the group with a lot more momentum than you could otherwise gather.
