Located in Pier Park North in Panama City, Florida Island Fin Poke brings Hawaiian-style poke bowls to the shores of the Emerald Coast. This eatery was founded by Kurt Fadden and his wife Eve. Each Poke bowl begins with a base of either spring mix, brown rice, or white rice. Then, you add the proteins to the mix by choosing from a variety of options ranging from spam and salmon to ahi tuna, octopus, or chicken.
The next step towards completing your Poke bowl is to choose from 23 additional toppings. You can dine in at the Pier Park location. Choose inside or enjoy the outdoor seating or have your food brought to you via delivery or catering options. You can also order online or through apps.
The mission behind opening up Island Fin Poke was to bring a healthy, fresh, unique food option to the Panama City Beach area. The founders wanted to appeal not just to tourists but to locals as well. Eve grew up in the area and is happy to offer her hometown a better, healthier option. The owner’s son Josh can also be found in the restaurant helping guests build their bowls and explaining the abundance of house-made sauces.
Owner Kurt believes that good food is a given at this restaurant business. However, good service is what is actually key to building long-term relationships in the community. It is this basis upon which Island Fin Poke is founded. Therefore, when guests walk into this establishment, they will be treated well and can even expect some conversation if desired.
No matter your knowledge of sauce, you can become a Sauce Boss at Island Fin Poke. Just learn about marinating and finishing sauces. You can choose from a variety of marinades to get started. Including the gluten-free soy sauce Shoyo, the OG Sauce, which features fresh jalapenos, sweet onions, and a blend of soy sauce, rice vinegar, olive oil, and sesame oil.
The Island Fin Fire, a fresh blend of wildflower honey, habanero peppers, and pineapples along with Wicked Wahine, featuring a little sweet and a little heat finish up the marinate options. Finishing sauces include Avocado Cream, Wasabi Cream, Togarashi, Jamaican Cream, and Ono Ono sauces.
