With over 50 years of charter fishing and tour experience, family-owned Olin Marler’s Charter Fishing and Dolphin Tours provide some of the most spectacular recreational boating opportunities available on Florida’s serene Emerald Coast. Starting out from Destin, tours have easy access to a huge swath of Florida’s Gulf coastline and deep-sea fishing. The emerald-colored water is home to diverse fish habitats that support both wildlife and managed fish species, providing guests with awe-inspiring viewing opportunities and abundant fishing challenges.
Destin Dolphin Tour
Great for everyone in the family, this tour is the perfect way to see dolphins playfully romping, and view other abundant marine wildlife in their natural habitat. You’ll set out to sea aboard the comfortable Hannah Marie. The vessel is complete with an air-conditioned cabin that has a glass panel area for viewing the water below the boat and an open-top deck for incredible Gulf views. Daily 1.5 hour narrated tours teach guests about the history of Destin and offer spectacular wildlife-spotting opportunities. Even if the dolphins are not cooperating on a particular day, there are always plenty of other fish and birds to spot. Bring your sunscreen and a camera, because you’ll need both. On-board snack bar and bathrooms are available. Tours depart daily, with abundant seating available.
Destin Charter Fishing Tours
Olin Marler’s Charter Fishing Service has the largest fishing fleet on the Emerald Coast. Specializing in bottom fishing and trolling, crews are armed with knowledge based on a lifetime of experience. Head out from the “world’s luckiest fishing village,” and participate in world-famous fishing by angling for some of the biggest fish in the Gulf. An experienced captain and crew check charts regularly to give you and your fishing buddies access to some of the best locations for finding the area’s always hungry underwater population. You will have the opportunity to fish for hundreds of brawny, beautiful and delicious species in Florida’s Gulf of Mexico, including grouper, red snapper, vermilion snapper, black snapper, white snapper, scamp, triggerfish, mackerel, amberjack, and even shark!
Bait, ice, tackle, rods, and fishing license are included, but you can also bring your own tackle. Trips range from four to twelve hours, with overnight trips available. New anglers may want to start with a shorter tour, to get their sea legs, but experienced fishers usually want to take advantage of all the time on the water they can get. Boats typically go out anywhere from 10-30 miles, depending on the length of your trip. Customers may keep any fish that are in season and of legal size. Group, family and private charters are offered.
Olin Marler’s is located on the Destin Harbor just east of the Destin Bridge, near AJ’s Restaurant. Parking is not free and ranges from $5-20, depending on the time of year and day.
Insider Tips:
– Plan to arrive about 30 minutes before departure time.
– Although Florida has great boating weather year-round, the season just before Spring Break might just be the ideal time for a visit. June and July can be especially busy.
– Gratuities are not included in the tour price. You might want to bring along some cash to tip your crew for a job well done.
