Bringing classy, yet laid-back vibes to Miramar Beach, The Wine Bar is the perfect setting for date night or a relaxed outing with close friends.
Self-described as the epitome of ‘casual excellence,’ this unique establishment delivers sophisticated vibes alongside a welcoming and comfortable ambiance. This is not exactly an easy combination to achieve, but The Wine Bar makes it look effortless.
The Wine Bar boasts multiple locations on the Emerald Coast. The Miramar Beach edition is commonly referred to as the Grand Boulevard location. This and other Wine Bar locations share many similarities, but the Miramar Beach establishment has a more intimate feel. The bar and inside dining areas are decidedly cozy, although often busy or even rowdy as happy hour draws to a close. Outside seating is also available — and worth requesting when the weather cooperates.
As its name suggests, The Wine Bar boasts an excellent wine selection. Chardonnay, rosé, cabernet…you name it, you’ll find it. These and other wines are available in a variety of sizes. While many wine lovers automatically opt for the carafe, there’s something to be said for sampling unfamiliar wines at the smallest size available: 4.2 ounces. If you’re feeling confident in your selection, you can opt for an entire bottle. If you crave a true wine adventure, however, you’ll definitely want to try a wine flight in white or red.
Wine alone won’t make your experience at The Wine Bar. Ultimately, the quality of your visit will be defined by the expert pairing of fine wine with fresh cuisine. Different Wine Bar locations have different menus, so it’s worth stopping by Miramar Beach even if you’ve previously visited The Wine Bar in Destin. In Miramar Beach, you’ll find a variety of small and large plates, many of which can best be described as innovative. Several gluten-free dishes are available, as are a few vegetarian options.
A few of our favorite menu items include the following:
Gourmet Mac & Cheese
Trade in your usual mac and cheese for a gourmet version that will satisfy your most urgent cravings. This is a Wine Bar go-to for picky eaters who are eager to avoid the menu’s more ambitious entrees.
Gulf Grouper
Seafood is a must when you visit Miramar Beach, but sometimes, it’s fun to freshen up local culinary traditions. Try a new take on seafood with this Wine Bar entree, which features pan-seared grouper served over vegetable couscous. Shrimp and lump blue crabmeat toppings complete your meal.
Thai Citrus Salad
Keep it healthy with a salad that goes far beyond your usual blend of lettuce and tomatoes. This Thai-inspired salad boasts a delightful mix of grapefruit and orange segments, as well as carrots, romaine, toasted peanuts, and shrimp. Cilantro, mint, and a savory vinaigrette grant your salad plenty of flavor.
Duck Breast Quesadilla
You love quesadillas but are ready for something new. At The Wine Bar, you’re encouraged to take on a quesadilla with a few unexpected additions: duck breast, Havarti cheese, and caramelized onions. A creamy orange sauce completes this memorable quesadilla and will leave you eager for more.
Grand Cru Board
Whether you’re looking to split an appetizer before your meal or skip entrees altogether, you’ll be impressed by the range of cheeses, cured meats, fruits, and other delightful snacks included with the Grand Cru Board. A fresh-baked baguette accompanies the board but may quickly become your favorite Wine Bar food.
The Wine Bar’s carefully curated menu offers plenty to please your palate — particularly if you prefer a little whimsy and adventure with your meal. Ask your server for wine pairing recommendations to ensure the best possible culinary experience.
Insider Tips:
-If you desire a quiet, laid-back experience, avoid visiting around 5 pm — the peak of happy hour. While The Wine Bar’s happy hour deal (a full carafe for the price of a standard-sized glass) is enticing, it tends to attract large and rather noisy groups.
-Stop by the official Facebook page for the Miramar Beach Wine Bar to learn more about upcoming events. This location hosts several special events throughout the year, including a popular champagne and chocolate tasting before Valentine’s Day.
