Royal Palm Grille is a destination type of restaurant located in Miramar Beach, FL. It’s located right on the water, which allows for the location to offer a variety of opportunities to have some fun. The menu is full of traditional seafood dishes and some spice. Yet, the location offers much more, including a wide range of onsite activities.
During the summer months, they open up the main dining room, but also a deck and bar area. There’s a beach bar and a pool bar available as well. Many come to catch a game on the big-screen TVs or to spend some time enjoying the views of the waterfront. There’s a large dining area that is available for private events. The location even offers bonfires during the summer months. From the piano music to the huge drink menu (it’s an interactive menu on a tablet at the table), there’s always something special here.
The food is full of flavor and fresh. The food includes everything from fresh oysters to crab and spinach dips. There are a variety of gluten and vegetarian options available, as well. Portions are plentiful, too. Perhaps most memorable is the sushi menu. It offers a large selection of custom-made sushi options that can fit just about any need. Each one is cut and rolled onsite to ensure it is very fresh.
The location also offers steak, including hand-cut USDA choice ribeye, New York Strips, and Center Cut Filet Mignon. Any of these can make for a filling meal with a lot of intense flavors.
Royal Palm Grille has an outstanding view of the beach, putting it in the heart of the Miramar Beach, FL area. There’s parking onsite and nearby, but many will come to stay for hours enjoying the water, which makes it a bit more crowded some nights.

The Sushi
Royal Palm Grille offers a full menu of sushi options it can create for guests. This includes everything from the Royal Palm Roll with tempura fried shrimp to the Salmon Skin Roll that includes cucumber and crunchy baked salmon skin. Sushi is only available for dinner, but there are dozens of options to choose from here.
Oyster Stew
As the temperatures dip in the evening, a bowl of Oyster Stew can be a very good choice. It features coastal, fresh oysters sautéed in butter and then added to a light cream sauce.
Crab Cakes
These large and filling Crab Cakes offer a wide range of flavors wrapped in them. They are filled with jumbo lump crab and come in a remoulade sauce. Choose two sides to go with this, including options such as saffron rice, truffled mashed potatoes, and chipotle coleslaw.
Fish Tacos
The Fish Tacos dish comes with two large tacos filled with either grilled or fried blackened fish with fresh mango salsa. It’s topped with the chipotle slaw and pico de gallo.
Fried Green Tomatoes
Paying homage to the local community, the Fried Green Tomatoes dish is an excellent choice for an appetizer. It is freshly made and has a bit of a zing in the flavor.
If you plan to visit Royal Palm Grille, come for the outdoor entertainment and views. While the dining room is beautiful and well-maintained, the action is outside from the parties to the treehouse-like feel of this location.
