Floyd’s Shrimp House means what they say when they claim their fare is “fresh from the gulf.” This is because the secret behind the fabulous tasting seafood you can find at Floyd’s is the company’s own wild fish processing facility called the Seafood Commissary. This facility, located on the Boardwalk in Okaloosa Island at Fort Walton Beach is the hub for all locally-sourced seafood and for many sister restaurants.
Each year the commissary prepares over 250,000lbs of fresh-caught Gulf seafood like snapper, grouper, shrimp, wahoo, amberjack, mahi-mahi, and more. All of these fabulous catches make their way from the gulf to your dinner plate at Floyd’s Shrimp House for some of the best-tasting, freshest seafood you will ever try.

Oysters
There are several ways you can try oysters at Floyd’s. This includes baked oysters (half dozen) or raw oysters.
Shrimp
While you can start your meal off with Shrimpitizers, you can also opt for a shrimp dish. At Floyd’s Shrimp House, you better be ready for the amazing shrimp you will enjoy. Try the Famous Shrimp Boat, which is grilled teriyaki-glazed shrimp, shrimp scampi, and coco-loco shrimp served with rice and vegetables, or the Large Shrimp Dinner featuring large gulf shrimp, blackened jerk scampi, and peel and eat shrimp topped with Old Bay served with rice and vegetables are two popular options. Other notable favorites include the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp and the Coco Loco Shrimp dishes, along with several other varieties.
Floyd’s Favorites
Along with fabulous shrimp, Floyd’s also offers some guests favorites in the form of their Surf & Surf dish featuring mahi-mahi, large gulf shrimp either blackened, fried, or grilled along served along with potatoes and corn, or try the Surf & Turf that comes with a grilled 4 oz filet medallion alongside large gulf shrimp.
Fresh Fish
As mentioned above, the seafood at Floyd’s is gulf fresh! Therefore, the fresh fish served is often a noted favorite. Options include the Mahi-Mahi, a fish so nice they named it twice. The Mahi-Mahi is mild and flavorful. Other options include the Shrimp & Cobia Creole, bringing a taste of NOLA to northwest Florida. This dish comes with three jumbo gulf shrimp smothered in flavorful Cajun creole stew, served with Texas toasts and rice pilaf.
AYCE
The AYCE, All You Can Eat is available daily from 4 to 6. It includes domestic shrimp, hush puppies, slaw, and fried fish, and is a Floyd’s Shrimp House favorite.
Drinks
Don’t forget to try the drinks while visiting Floyd’s. All Frozen Drinks are served in a take-home Floyd’s souvenir cup. Options include the Mango Mai Tai, the Miami Vice, the Frozen Daiquiri, Pina Colada, Margarita, Frozen Lemonade, and more. Signature Cocktails, which also come in souvenir cups, wines, and draft and bottled beer are also available.
