Steamboat Bar and Grill serves fresh seafood and a selection of beers in an unpretentious setting. This isn’t the place where you put on a bib and use a miniature fork to eat lobster. Slurp down an oyster appetizer, and get your hands dirty with the crawfish and shrimp Etouffee. No one will notice that you’re not using a fork or holding your pinky out when you pick up the shellfish.

The menu at Steamboat Bar and Grill is heavy on fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood, although you can find other options if the local marine fauna doesn’t appeal to you. For seafood, appetizers like Oysters Rockefeller and Boiled Shrimp lead the way to Seafood Platter and Grouper “D’ entrees. Go with a Grouper Sandwich or Fried Fish Po-Boy if you’re not quite hungry enough for a big meal, and you can still enjoy the taste of the sea.

For less marine options, a selection of chicken and beef is sprinkled across the various menu sections. The Blackened Chicken Parmesan, Ribeye Steak and Steamboat Burger are some popular favorites, but there are plenty of other options too.

Drink options include domestic and imported beers, along with a selection of wines. A full array of sodas appeal to those under 21, and everyone can enjoy the Florida Key Lime Pie or Chocolate Mousse for dessert regardless of age.

Prices here aren’t the cheapest you’ll find in the area, but they’re quite affordable for fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood. Expect to pay between $17 and $28 for most entrees, which is well below what some of those fancier places charge for the same fish.

Everything offered is served in a laid-back setting where you can wear shorts and sandals. Feel free to bring the kids along too, and they’ll fit right in with the family-friendly crowd.

For a good meal from the sea in a setting where everyone’s welcome, head to Steamboat Bar and Grill. This is one place where you can dress like a fisherman and eat what they catch.

A few of our menu favorites at Steamboat Bar and Grill include:

Boiled Shrimp
Fresh shrimp, boiled and seasoned with Old Bay. The locals have been eating shrimp like this for ages, and there’s a good reason why. You may even want to forgo the cocktail sauce that comes on the side.

Grouper Sandwich
Looking for a lunch or light dinner? Go with the Grouper Sandwich. It’s fried and simple, and it’s absolutely delicious.

Steamboat Fish Bowl for 2
Can’t decide what seafood to get? The Steamboat Fish Bowl for 2 comes with shrimp, muscles, snow crab and gumbo, and there’s enough to share without worrying about who’ll get the last bite of your favorite one.

Crawfish Salad
Add some flavor to the standard salad. The Crawfish Salad has the vegetables you need and the crawfish you want.

Florida Key Lime Pie
Even though you may be a ways from the Keys, there’s something special about eating a slice of Florida Key Lime Pie. This is one menu item you won’t want to share.

Insider Tip:
The staff usually has some jammin’ classics playing, but you can choose to listen to something different if you like. Should you want to change the music that’s on, ask the server to point out the digital jukebox hidden along the wall.
