Formerly known as Sam’s Fun City, with over 20 rides and attractions to choose from, you will never have a shortage of exciting things to do while at Splash City Adventures. This popular venue is an amusement park and waterpark all in one, sprawling across over 20 acres right along Pensacola Boulevard in Florida.

Opened and operating since 2000, this theme park has steadily grown in size from its humble beginnings as a small indoor arcade. As its grounds filled out with amazing rides and attractions of all kinds, its popularity grew as well. Today, more than 200,000 people come through each year and more than 2,000 of them hold annual passes that allow for frequent visits.

Each group arrives with a different set of attractions on their mind, as there is a whole lot to see and do. Some make a beeline straight for the waterpark (containing several water slides, a lazy river, and even a kiddie pool), while others line up for round after round of laser tag. Many others hit every ride and attraction they can during their visit, which can prove difficult with so many options on tap.

Their most popular attractions include:

Tilt A Whirl
Hold on for dear life as you spin round and round! This classic Tilt A Whirl will have you glued to the sides of the attraction as it quickly spins you around and side to side. Definitely not for those who get motion sickness, but one for those thrill seekers and adventure lovers.

Frog-Hopper
For the young ones, there’s Frog Hopper, which is a gentle but thrilling ride for those little friends coming to the park. This ride goes up to the top and quickly back down a time or two. You’ll be laughing in no time on this Splash City Adventure ride.

Summit Tunnel
For a break from the heat, enjoy a water slide or two. Summit Tunnel offers three different rides perfect for cooling down in the heat of the summer.

Ferris Wheel
To see all the action for yourself, all you have to do is hop on the Ferris wheel for a ride to the top. A true classic to behold, this ride gives you an eagle-eye view of the whole park, which you can take in at your leisure when it pauses at the apex. To go it alone, riders must be at least seven years old and 42 inches tall, though youngsters can ride with an older sibling or parent upon reaching 36 inches in height.

Although this venue has seen lots of love, the operators always keep it clean and tidy for the next round of patrons. Many of the rides and other attractions show their age but are obviously well-maintained and operated with care. Their operators oversee all the fun, keeping their eye on safety while ensuring everyone has a great time. They have over 15 lifeguards on duty in the waterpark (Sam’s Surf City) at all times plus many other ride operators, security personnel, and more.

Insider Tips:
– Although they normally only schedule parties on the weekend, they will sometimes accommodate weekday party requests.
– While they do keep their miniature golf course open after dark, there are not many lights on the course, making it difficult to aim and navigate.
– On slow days, they do not have all attractions running at all times, though they honor requests for rides with quickness. All you have to do is ask.
