**Club La Vela is currently closed due to Hurricane Michael. A re-opening date has not yet been announced.
Club La Vela is the party capital not just of Panama City, Florida but of the entire United States. It’s literally the largest nightclub in the country, attracting thousands of attendees to the live concerts, beachside parties and other events the club holds.
Enter the main room, and be ready to rock, rave or roll depending on what’s playing. Bands from all different genres perform here, and they all sound great through the 50,000-watt sound system.
All music ranges, from high to mid to low, are expertly reproduced to provide an unparalleled audio experience without hurting your eardrums. Of course, the audio system is complemented by an equally state-of-the-art lighting system that adds to the environment.
Before the main room’s big performance, head outside to the beach and pool for some pre-concert prepping. Whether you’re looking for a high-intensity experience or a more laid-back time, the outdoor area is large enough to accommodate everyone — even when there are thousands here rocking out.
Of course, everyone isn’t going to agree on the music selection when thousands of people are gathered together. To make sure there’s something for every attendee, Club La Vela has no less than 10 theme rooms in addition to the main and outdoor areas. Check out each to see what DJs, bands and other entertainers are performing, and hang out in whichever strikes your fancy.
To make sure you’re never parched, there are a stunning 48 bar stations located throughout the premises. Let the bartender at any of these know what beer or cocktail you’d like, and they’ll have you replenished in no time. Bottle service is also available in the VIP areas located around the property.
Club La Vela is especially known for its Spring Break parties, but the club doesn’t stop rocking when the students go home. Stop by whenever you’re in town, and you’re bound to find a lively party.
A few of our favorite spots at Club La Vela are:
The Beach
Nothing beats partying right on the shore of the Gulf of Mexico. So long as the weather is nice, spend some time soaking in the atmosphere on the sand.
The Pool
On hot afternoon bashes, step into the beachside pool for some refreshing coolness. Don’t worry about missing anything, for the pool is right next to the beach and this is often a center of the action.
The Chairs
Not to be underestimated when you’re partying for hours on end, there are many chairs on the edges of rooms. Have a seat and give your feet a rest. You’ll be able to go longer if you do.
Insider Tip:
It can take some planning to figure it out, but you’ll be able to enter faster if you know the entry process. There are separate 18+ and 21+ entrances, and metal detectors are located at both entrances. Leave any potentially objectionable items in your vehicle so you aren’t sent back to your car to drop the item off.
